Good Day,

Winter holds on and I am beyond happy!

Today is Tuesday, March 16, 2021 and I am enjoying the cold weather. I’m elated that winter continues to hold on spreading great joy in my heart allowing me to create great memories year after year.

It’s 1:20 and I am about to update a few of my websites. I enjoy posting new articles for my lady friends. It is my hope that my writings and short articles help my girlfriends in some way or another. I think it’s super important to love one another and to be a blessing to each other.

As I write this post I am thinking about all that I have to do today. My husband got in from work early and now he’s walking Prince, our Silky Terrier. I asked him if he wanted to do any work around the house because we are purging and throwing things out that no longer serve us. We didn’t know that we had/have so much. I, alone, have a ton of fall and Christmas items. To be honest with you, I need to give away a lot of my decor because it’s way too much and it’s nice to be able to share. The thing for me is deciding what things I am willing to part with.

Here are some photos that I took of my Christmas decor. I love my reindeer, my Santa and my candle holder. I’m going to keep all of these because they are very special to me.

Winter Holds On

Below is my lovely red Christmas candle holder that lights up. I bought this from QVC about five years ago and it still looks brand new. This is a beautiful piece of Christmas decor and I love it.

Check out my window Christmas display. Now, I love everything about this amazing setting. It is so warm and cozy. I am keeping everything in this diplay.

Introducing Santa Claus. He is awesome and I love his red velvet hat. How can a girl part with something this wonderful. I’ll be keeping also. Oh gosh, it looks like I’ll be keeping everything that I’ve shared with you so far.

It’s time to go through the storage bins in my attic. I’ll come back soon to share more of my findings. As winter holds on I’ll continue to enjoy our time together.

Dinner Is Served

Dinner is served and so is love!

If you were to visit my home, you’d find brownies and peanut cookies sitting on my kitchen table.

It’s Saturday, December 28, 2019 and I’m having a ball working on the things I love.

Currently, I am in my office doing a few things like writing this post and responding to messages from friends.

It has been a lovely day and I am looking forward to relaxing when evening falls.

I started my day with cleaning on my mind. Cleaning and purging. Yes, that was my goal.

First of all, I love to clean. Call me strange, but I love a clean house. I love organization, but that’s another story for another hour and post. LOLLLLL.

After cleaning on Saturdays, Bill and I always, and I mean always order pizza or hoagies, but today I am going to be making one of my delicious homemade meals. Let me tell you, I can put an awesome dinner together using things that I find in my freezer and cabinet; in other words without a plan or menu.

I am creating something easy and simple, but oh so delicious.

At the moment my kitchen table is covered in peanut cookies and brownies. LOLLLL. I will need to make room for my amazing meal so I will put away the brownie and cookies until after dinner is done.

So what’s on the menu you ask? Well, for starters I am making my famous honey barbecue chicken wingettes. Also on the menu is seafood salad, peas and corn. Hubby doesn’t eat peas, but he loves corn. I love them both!

Dinner Is Served

I was going to make muffins to go along with my incredible meal, but because hubby forgot to turn on the oven for me, I won’t have time to make the muffins this time around. Whenever I do make muffins, which is usually on Sundays, I doctor them up with a little vanilla extract, a dash of brown sugar for two boxes of Jiffy Cornbread mix and I add an extra egg. Talk about good. My muffins taste like cupcakes. They are moist and just down right good which is always my goal.

Would you like to know what I put in my seafood salad? Of course you would.

I boil a half box of San Giorgio Rotelle. I dice up imitation crab flakes. I add my garlic and onion powders. I also add yellow mustard powder, pepper, red pepper flakes, a little Old Bay Seafood Seasonings, celery seeds, a dash of sugar and a lot of mayonnaise because the rotelle soaks up the mayo like crazy. I love a moist seafood salad.

When I make my corn, I sprinkle in onion and garlic powders with a dash of pepper. I don’t add any water to my veggies because the ice from the corn and peas makes its own water. I add about two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to my pan. I let it get a little hot and then I add my peas and corn. My my my, how delicious.

Dinner Is Served And I Am Ready To Eat!

And so, dinner is almost ready! Presently, I am eating a few brownies. They are more than delicious and I can’t resist them. I still have room for dinner so off I go to have dinner with my Bill. I will let you know how it all comes out. I’m looking forward to a hot homemade meal this Saturday evening. The chicken smells delicious. I just hope it takes as good as it smells.

Okay, I’m off to eat and converse with hubby.

Brownies Baking

Peanut Butter and Butter Cookies Too!

Every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas I bake brownies, cookies and cakes.

Yesterday the baking adventure began and before I knew it the brownies were done. And you know what? I just had to taste 4! LOLLLLLLL. I was supposed to be freezing these scrumptious brownies them, but my mouth was watering when I removed them from the oven. They were smelling so good that I just could not resist their fragrance. Now mind you, these brownies were supposed to be served during the week of Christmas when my husband is always on the hunt for something sweet to eat. My husband is always looking for something to snack on. He loves my baked goods and I love to bake them for him and for my sons.

These Ghiradelli dark brownies didn’t even make it out of the foil pan this time. As soon as they cooled I cut them up and removed the middle section. They were beyond delicious and I enjoyed all four of the squares that found their way into my mouth warming my palette as they always seem to do.

When my son came home from school, he had a hefty plate of my famous spaghetti and then, he too, dived directly into the brownies. My husband came home from work and discovered the brownies as I had placed them on the kitchen table still in the foil pan. He grabbed a bunch of squares and ate until his heart was content.

I now use Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix as with chocolate chips included. Once I discovered these brownies, I have never used another. Some may think they are a tad bit expensive, but I love them and can always find them on sale. Can you believe I got this box of brownie mix at Odd Lots for $1.00 per box. The manager let me grab 3 boxes even though the wrong price had been stamped and advertised on them.

As I made my way downstairs to the kitchen this morning, Wednesday, December 11th, I noticed that the brownies were almost all gone. I’m guessing that my husband took some to work to have with his morning tea.

Next week I will be making peanut cookies from a recipe that has more peanut butter in it than any ever recipe I have ever tried. Talk about good, these peanut cookies are beyond delicious. They are the real deal for real!
