Fall Projects In My Home Hello Creative Ones,

I hope everyone is well.

Well it’s Saturday and I’m busy as a Betsy Bee. It’s that time of year when I get to work on my fall projects.

I’m going to be decorating my living room with all of my fall decor that I bought from Home Goods over the past three years. I don’t need to buy another thing but I was tempted when I was in home goods to buy prince a new bed. I was having a field day looking though. Autumn is calling my name! When I saw the wreaths and pillows my heart was aching but I told myself it didn’t make CENTS to buy another thing because my attic is running over with decorations. It’s like Walmart up there!

Ok. My first project for the fall season will be to wash my windows and then walls. Yessss. I wash windows and walls. As I thinking I guess I need to clean my rugs by hand. I will also clean and shine my exposed hardwoods. The other major project that I can cross off my list is purging. That was a major job, but it’s done and it feels amazing to have completed such a major task.

After all these projects are done I will paint my hallway bathroom. I also have plans to paint the accent wall in my mother’s room but that will be easy. My husband has been installing new doors throughout the house; he just needs to finish it.

By the time we have completed our projects it will be time to decorate for fall. I’ll share pictures.

March Gladness Is Here To Stay

March Madness 2022 is here!

March Madness 2022 Is Here

March Madness is here and I am super excited that March Gladness is here. Yayyyyyy!!!!!!!!

There are some great match ups and amazing college players who are just waiting to compete in the March Gladness tournaments.

My family and I love basketball. We would watch it year round if we could. We also love football. When football season ends its on to March Gladness where we gt to see some great competition.

We follow Villanova since it’s close to our hometown. The Wildcats have an awesome Coach in Jay Wright. He just always seems to win. As my son says he is just a great coach. I think one of the reasons that I enjoy watching Villanova play is because I get to watch Coach Wright walk up and down the sidelines. I love to see his reaction each and every time one of his players even comes close to or touches the round ball. For some reason, I just love to watch his display of concern and love of the game and for his players.

There will be plenty of games on this weekend and I am ready to sit back and watch all the action.

My Work From Home Life

My work from home life has been an awe-inspiring entrepreneurial journey.

When I set out to explore the endless possibilities of work from home jobs, I quickly realized that I had everything I needed to be a successful entrepreneur.

My gifts, talents and skill set led me to believe that I could start a work at home business and be happy doing it. I was great at typing. I typed super fast. It was then that I made up my mind to start a home based typing business. In September 2002, Magic Fingers Secretarial Service was founded. Magic Fingers was also very short lived.

I had discovered that I was not passionate about typing even though I was getting a lot of business I wasn’t happy and I was bored.

After closing the doors to my home based business I became a self-taught graphic designer. I loved it and have been hooked ever since. I did not look back and I use my God-given design skills every chance I get.

Your Own Work From Home Life

Have you been thinking about starting your own home based business? If you are I would advise that you take the plunge asap. Being an entrepreneur is a feeling like no other.

When you begin to lay the foundation of your business you will feel excitement and appreciation. Why? Because you are about to change your life. You are going to embark on something new and refreshing.

Winter Holds On

Good Day,

Winter holds on and I am beyond happy!

Today is Tuesday, March 16, 2021 and I am enjoying the cold weather. I’m elated that winter continues to hold on spreading great joy in my heart allowing me to create great memories year after year.

It’s 1:20 and I am about to update a few of my websites. I enjoy posting new articles for my lady friends. It is my hope that my writings and short articles help my girlfriends in some way or another. I think it’s super important to love one another and to be a blessing to each other.

As I write this post I am thinking about all that I have to do today. My husband got in from work early and now he’s walking Prince, our Silky Terrier. I asked him if he wanted to do any work around the house because we are purging and throwing things out that no longer serve us. We didn’t know that we had/have so much. I, alone, have a ton of fall and Christmas items. To be honest with you, I need to give away a lot of my decor because it’s way too much and it’s nice to be able to share. The thing for me is deciding what things I am willing to part with.

Here are some photos that I took of my Christmas decor. I love my reindeer, my Santa and my candle holder. I’m going to keep all of these because they are very special to me.

Winter Holds On

Below is my lovely red Christmas candle holder that lights up. I bought this from QVC about five years ago and it still looks brand new. This is a beautiful piece of Christmas decor and I love it.

Check out my window Christmas display. Now, I love everything about this amazing setting. It is so warm and cozy. I am keeping everything in this diplay.

Introducing Santa Claus. He is awesome and I love his red velvet hat. How can a girl part with something this wonderful. I’ll be keeping also. Oh gosh, it looks like I’ll be keeping everything that I’ve shared with you so far.

It’s time to go through the storage bins in my attic. I’ll come back soon to share more of my findings. As winter holds on I’ll continue to enjoy our time together.

The life changing lessons in the year 2020 have been, well, life-changing!

This year, 2020 came in speaking to my heart. It told a story that will live in my mind for years to come.

The most heartbreaking story it will tell me was that, my cousin, Kobe Bryant, former Los Angeles Lakers small forward, had perished in a horrific helicopter accident.

The Life Changing Lessons in the Year 2020

My son, Kobe’s greatest fan, called me when he got to work that cold January day to tell me of this awful heart-wrenching news. The second I answered his call I knew something was beyond seriously wrong. “MOM!!!!, he screamed. I said, Yes, he said, Kobe died!!!!!!!!! When I heard the hurt in his voice I literally fell on my bed in disbelief.

My son was crying and I didn’t know what to say. It was hard for me to take this in. I just could not believe what I was hearing. My heart sank to my feet and my thoughts immediately journeyed to Pam and Joe, Kobe’s mom and Dad.

Reason being is that these are the two people who raised, loved and nurtured Kobe and his sisters, Sharia and Shaya into their early adult years. It is because of Pam and Joe that Kobe became the amazing basketball star that he was.

Long before Kobe’s basketball tenure came to a conclusion, he had devised a plan for his life; one that would take him to a completely new level of success that he would enjoy immediately after his retirement from basketball.

Kobe executed the perfect plan and he did it brilliantly and successfully. His abundance was real and every inch of his life was thoroughly fulfilled.

Not long after Kobe, GiGi and his friends perished in that awful helicopter crash covid entered into our great nation and the way we thought about life impacted our lives forever.

The Life Changing Lessons in the Year 2020

Unwelcome, covid made its presence known in every many people’s lives and one thing for sure is that it has taught many of us life changing lessons with life changing experiences. Some believed covid was a real nightmare while others erred on the side of caution.

Refusing to wear masks, congregating at parties and gatherings many learned the hard way that covid is indeed real. It seems it came in and made it’s way into many homes invading lives. Covid has been here far longer than anyone ever expected. It’s time for covid to leave our blessed nation.

Nevertheless we must take covid seriously and stay safe. This is not something any of us want to contract. It is a terrible virus that has the potential to be deadly.

With covid spreading like wildfire many businesses were forced to shut down including mine. Yes, my skincare business has suffered, but I thank God I haven’t. Even though I was forced to stop selling my skincare products I knew that I had to protect my customers well-being while protecting my own self.

During this time of silence I didn’t do a whole lot. I stayed in during the summer months going out only if necessary. I would venture once in a blue moon, but only if I had to go to see my doctor because I did not want to contract covid and I still don’t want to get this awful virus.

The Life Changing Lessons in the Year 2020 Bring Calm and Restoration

And now after things have started to calm down, I find myself getting ready for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season.

I started decorating for Christmas yesterday. So far everything looks lovely. My goal is to achieve a real winter and Christmas wonderland. As much stuff that I have it should be easy to do.

I look forward to adding lights to my Christmas decor. Once I do that my village should really come to life.

Having something as magical, wonderful and beautiful as Christmas to look forward to really helps me to get into the flow of love and harmony that Christmas brings.

It’s such a special time of year and I am sincerely thankful for this time from God because after all life is all about serving and glorifying Him!

Holiday Shopping! It’s here. Hello,

Love lives here

Okay, so the holiday season is upon us.

I know, I know, you think I’m crazy, but I am not. I just love the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays! And I mean I really love these two heartwarming and magical holidays. Christmas and Thanksgiving are like two twins who share warm sentiments from the love that they have for one another.

The things that I love about the holiday season is preparing for the feelings they bring. I have been get my menus ready for the holiday season with Christmas shopping included.

Believe it or not, I started shopping for Christmas in July (2020). I have a little more shopping to do, but nothing major. I bought some things off of Amazon, some things from Eddie Bauer and a few from Macy’s. Most of the gifts that I have purchased are my unborn granddaughter, my two grandsons, and my children. I will be looking around to see what my husband needs and shop accordingly.

Holiday shopping is one of my greatest loves. When shopping I like to think about what my family needs and then I add in a few things that I think they want.

My youngest son is a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan so I know what I am going to get him every single year without fail. Something Laker Nation! I have completed his list which is my list that he knows nothing about. LOLLLLLL

Now, whenever I shop for Christmas, it is a must that I search for sales and bargains! For me, not all sales are bargains. I consider it a bargain when I get something on sale at a great price and amazing quality!

Christmas shopping brings me a great sense of peace and joy because the thought of giving alone makes me smile. I love to give and I look forward to gift wrapping because of the meaning behind the giving, which for me is love.

After I’ve wrapped all of my Christmas gifts, which usually takes half-a-day, I store them away in my bedroom closet for safe keeping until Christmas Eve. I am getting excited thinking about it all.

Holiday Shopping for Christmas Dinner

Last year I received a lovely southern Christmas book from my daughter and I have decided to try a few amazing recipes from the book. I look forward to the three recipes I will be trying. They sound delicious so I am sure they will be.

Have you started your holiday shopping yet? If not, then when do you plan to start? It’s tons of fun getting ready for this magical time of year.

Well, it’s been wonderful reflecting and preparing for the most wonderful time of the year!

I hope you get to enjoy time spent with those closest to you however you define time spent together!

Love In The Living Room

And Every Place My Feet Tread In My Home

Love in the living room and every where my feet tread makes me smile!

Today is a beautiful day in the neighborhood here in Pennsylvania.

I woke up with a heart full of gratefulness for all the things that God has gifted me. From my beautiful home to the wonders of the world.

As I enjoy this gorgeous day and the warmer temperatures, I decided to take a ride out in the fresh air. When hubby and I get home I plan to make a really nice dinner for him. He loves just about everything that I make and create. I love to cook. I also love to bake, but I am not the best baker in the kitchen.

I baked a batch of peanut butter cookies for Christmas. They tasted better after they sat on the cookie tray for a few days. I don’t know why, but peanut butter cookies are hard to get right. I don’t know if it’s the kind of peanut butter that I use or the flour, but they don’t always come out the way that I expect them to. I was going to bake butter cookies, but I chose to go with peanut butter cookies instead.

I also baked a sour cream pound cake that was through the roof delicious! I made some dark chocolate brownies and added dark chocolate chip morsels to the batter. They taste too good to be true. Anything chocolate I love. I am truly a choc-a-holic in every sense of the word. I define chocolate! LOLLLLL

Whenever I am baking anything during this special time of year, I have to play Christmas music. Not just any Christmas music, but traditional music. It’s the real thing for real.

Christmas music makes me super happy. I love Christmas Oldies the best. One of my favorite Christmas songs is Marshmallow World by the Crooner, Dean Martin. My oh my that song is great. My other favorite Christmas songs include O Holy Night by Celine Dione and Josh Groban. I don’t know what version I like best because I love them both. Talk about beautiful singers. They both have wonderful voices.

Sitting in the Living Room, talking to hubby while creating magnificent memories is one of my favorites things to do during the holiday season. There is nothing like spending time together creating those lovely memories in our living room.

Oh and wait, I have to tell you about my Christmas decorations. My Christmas decor is so beautiful that I can’t take my eyes off them.

Love In The Living Room

While sitting in the living room our conversation always tend to be one of life’s experiences and all the things hubby and I have planned all the days of our lives. We are still working on our Fall Bucket List. I don’t like calling it a bucket list so I will need to come up with a new name. Give me time to get it right and I’ll have the perfect name for our list of things to do! Could that be it? LOLLLL. A list of things to do.

Well, I am home now and I am getting ready to put my chicken wings in the oven. I already made my homemade honey barbecue sauce for my chicken wings. I hope I got it right this time. I don’t have a written recipe. I just create a sauce from whatever is in my cabinet which is hot sauce, honey and syrup. I then add my powders to it; onion and garlic. I also sprinkle some paprika, pepper and a dash of brown sugar. If I really want to be super creative I add lemon and a little bit of soy sauce, but not much because of the salt content.

Also on today’s menu will be seafood salad. I cannot wait because my seafood salad is like no other on the planet. I wish you could taste it. I know you would love it! It is sensational and oh so delicious.

After dinner, I will be hand whipping a jar of body butter cream for a repeat customer. Getting to do all the things I love warms my heart and when I get to share it, it makes my heart smile.

Love in the living room is my peace and harmony, happiness and contentment.

The Beauty of Snow

And Why Snow Brings A Smile To My Face

Right before going to bed last night I remembered my girlfriend telling me that it was supposed to snow today, Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Last night I watched the news only to be reminded that it was going to snow today. My husband reminded me that it was going to snow today and in his famous words, he said it wasn’t going to do anything. Those are his exact words every time we hear the word snow mentioned in the forecast. I’m so happy to say that he was wrong!

When I climbed out of bed this morning, I opened my blinds to see a beautiful picturesque setting of God’s wondrous works staring back at me. And guess what, snow was amazingly nesting in blades of grass. It brought a smile to my face and I’m still smiling. Let me go and take a few pictures so that you, too, can witness God’s glory for yourself even if you have already.

The snow is so beautiful that it makes for a lovely story with a glorious ending.

For me, snow seems to warm the Christmas Season so much more. When I think about snow falling and blanketing earth during the holiday season, it truly does speak to my heart. It tells me that I can take some lovely photos to add to my portfolio of masterpieces that can help me to create some of the most awesome designs ever. I love to create and design. It’s one of my many passions.

Into My Heart and Home

Falls entrance

Good Day Everyone,

It’s Friday, September 21, 2018, and I am leaping for joy. You see Fall is about to make her entrance into the door of my heart. The beautifully bright autumn season that we call Fall will be arriving around 7 tomorrow evening and I’ll be happily waiting. Although the decorating began September 1st I have a lot more decorating to do.

I had my husband go up in the attic to find the rest of my fall decor. Disappointed, he only found one storage bin. With all the unlabeled storage bins up there I can see why he couldn’t find them all. It’s just too many to go through. Even though he only found one storage bin, it did contain some of my most beautiful decor. It’s my guess that we will have to make our way back up to the attic again this evening. I hope I am able to find the rest of my fall decor. There is so much of it, but I do remember everything that I have. My goal is to decorate my living and dining rooms from ceiling to floor. In my storage bins there are wreaths along with a large variety of gorgeous pumpkins. They are a must have for the harvest in my home. Let me tell you, I was really on my p’s and q’s when I decided to leave a few things out around the house from last year. I knew fall would be here before I could bat an eye and here it is, once again, bringing her beautiful color palette to warm my home.

With so much to do to get ready for the harvest I am overjoyed!. I am making a new to do list today to prepare for all the things I want to do this season. I already told my husband that I have a spectacular list of things for us to do together which includes Painting with a Twist, Pumpkin Pickin and a trip to Valley Forge for our second annual picnic. To say that I am thrilled would be an understatement. I also have plans for us to do some autumn baking together even though my husband doesn’t know it yet.

Planning for the Upcoming Holidays

I am now in the process of preparing for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas.

I’ve written out my Thanksgiving Day Menu and I’m working on my Christmas Menu. My Thanksgiving Menu is never difficult to figure out, but every once in a while I like to add something new. Here’s what my Thanksgiving Menu looks like.

I’m happy to be in this space I’m happy to be in this space where I get to live my life in the garden of authenticity surrounded by pearls of prosperity.

This is the space, and it is enormous, where I can open my arms and gently fly without fear of falling. I venture out from the space I once knew as comfort and now I have entered into a whole new world where abundance abundantly awaits me.

I see door after door opening to me in this space as opportunity after opportunity knocks on the door of my heart telling me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. In the fields of wealth I walk in my wisdom gifted to me by the love of God. Right here in this vast space grace and mercy met me. They took me by the hand and led me to the end of the earth to show me the hidden riches of this world. They are blessings innumerable and life enriching.

And so it is that I have chosen to love, accept and forgive myself and to live my life fulfilling my goals and breathing my dreams. I give myself permission to live in my own light beaming out into the world enjoying my truths and simply embracing the woman I have always been. Unique, phenomenal and truly amazing.
