Autumn In My Neighborhood Oh So Beautiful

The Love of Autumn Breathes In My Heart

Autumn In My Neighborhood Oh So Beautiful

Autumn in my neighborhood oh so beautiful.

Waking up to such and wonder and beauty as pictured above, I am thankful for being blessed with eyes to see such wonder and majesty.

Autumn came in quietly. She didn’t make any noise. She arrived peacefully bringing with her warm breezes and tender mercies from God. His mercy and lovingkindness is upon the land. Seeing the essence of such splendor I am grateful.

And now the cooler temperatures have come in reminding me to clothe my body with sweaters, sweats and love.

Fall Foliage Is The Abundance That I Get to Witness and Enjoy Everyday

Autumn In My Neighborhood Oh So Beautiful

As I plan for the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, I am looking forward to baking, cooking, shopping and wrapping Christmas gifts for my lovely family.

The holidays are always a special time for me because I thoroughly enjoy making memories with my family.

This year I put together a Fall To Do List for me and hubby. So far we were able to go to pick pumpkins. Where there, we grabbed a bunch of treats for our home. I love cinnamon buns and he loves pumpkin pie. We also picked up a loaf of homemade cinnamon raisin bread. I put it in the freezer as I already have cinnamon raisin in the fridge. When I finished these two loaves I will head to the freezer and take out the one that I got from the orchards. I hope it tastes good.

My plan is to experience a new fall. With all the beauty and abundance that surrounds I look forward to more picture taking and spending a lot more time outdoors.

With each new day I am going to make sure that I do what I love and love what I do outdoors which is to take in all the wonder and splendor that encompasses my life.

Autumn in my neighborhood oh so beautiful.

Happy Fall,

Cyndi

Fall’s Entrance

Into My Heart and Home

Falls entrance

Good Day Everyone,

It’s Friday, September 21, 2018, and I am leaping for joy.  You see Fall is about to make her entrance into the door of my heart. The beautifully bright autumn season that we call Fall will be arriving around 7 tomorrow evening and I’ll be happily waiting. Although the decorating began September 1st I have a lot more decorating to do.

I had my husband go up in the attic to find the rest of my fall decor. Disappointed, he only found one storage bin. With all the unlabeled storage bins up there I can see why he couldn’t find them all. It’s just too many to go through. Even though he only found one storage bin, it did contain some of my most beautiful decor. It’s my guess that we will have to make our way back up to the attic again this evening. I hope I am able to find the rest of my fall decor.  There is so much of it, but I do remember everything that I have. My goal is to decorate my living and dining rooms from ceiling to floor.  In my storage bins there are wreaths along with a large variety of gorgeous pumpkins. They are a must have for the harvest in my home. Let me tell you, I was really on my p’s and q’s when I decided to leave a few things out around the house from last year. I knew fall would be here before I could bat an eye and here it is, once again, bringing her beautiful color palette to warm my home.

With so much to do to get ready for the harvest I am overjoyed!.  I am making a new to do list today to prepare for all the things I want to do this season. I already told my husband that I have a spectacular list of things for us to do together which includes Painting with a Twist, Pumpkin Pickin and a trip to Valley Forge for our second annual picnic. To say that I am thrilled would be an understatement. I also have plans for us to do some autumn baking together even though my husband doesn’t know it yet.

Planning for the Upcoming Holidays

I am now in the process of preparing for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas.

I’ve written out my Thanksgiving Day Menu and I’m working on my Christmas Menu.  My Thanksgiving Menu is never difficult to figure out, but every once in a while I like to add something new.  Here’s what my Thanksgiving Menu looks like.

I can smell pumpkin bread with chocolate chip morsels baking in my oven.

Welcome Fall

I am thrilled knowing that Fall will be arriving soon.  She is just around the bend and I am getting ready to welcome her with open arms!!!

My husband is home today.  He decided he needed a break from the usual 8-4 so he stayed home.  I have already put a bug in his ear that I need him to go to our storage unit to grab my fall decor.  Even though it’s 95 degrees outside and the humidity is through the roof, I am feeling fall in my spirit and I am super excited.

I have a few fall pieces out in the family room and one candle in my bird cage in the living room.  I’ve been eye shopping online, specifically Pier 1 Imports, one of my favorite stores since I discovered they have fantastic things and great sales! Here are a few of the items I’ll be purchasing.  I did some shopping at Macy’s.  I’ll share those with you soon.  I bought plate chargers for Thanksgiving and a serving tray that I thought I was going to use for one thing, but after seeing it after it arrived in the mail today, I think I’m going to decorate it with some autumn pieces. I watched Val on QVC the other day and she had some lovely pieces on display, but I held back because I really need to see all that I have in the attic and in our storage unit. Val knows how to tie all of the warm and vibrant fall colors together to give her audience the glow and ambiance that helps make our houses homes.

This is the charger plate that I bought from Macy’s.  It came in the mail today and when I opened it, I thought it was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.  I think I’m going to order 4 more so that I have 8 of them.

This is the serving tray that I bought from Macy’s.  I was truly disappointed when I opened the box because it looks nothing like this picture in person.  I was going to send it back, but I will just keep it.  It’s nice so I will find a way to use it to compliment my fall decor.

I’ll be back to share pictures when I have finished decorating our home for the upcoming fall season.
