Why Having a High Credit Score Matters

Here’s How to Get A High Credit Score

Let’s Be Honest About Credit: Why Your Score Stays Low and How to Fix It
Credit is one of the most important parts of daily life, so why do so many people have low scores? Understanding how credit works is the first step to raising your score.
Keeping a strong credit history helps you buy big things like a house or a car, and it lets you lock in the lowest interest rates possible.
I understand that things happen that can make our credit scores drop to the lowest rating possible.
Getting into credit card debt is one reason many people have low credit score. A bad credit report can happen to anyone. Paying credit cards on time is one way to maintain a good credit score.
Having high credit card balances can make money fly out of the window unless one makes a decent salary and can afford to pay the full balance at the end of every 30 days.
Also, having to pay student loans with high interest rates can make your credit suffer. The bottom line is this, be wise about money and how to use it. It just makes sense.
Let’s be real: credit can feel like a rigged game that nobody ever explained to us. It is rarely taught in high school, yet the second we turn 18, we are expected to know the rules perfectly.
If you are stressed out by your three-digit number or tired of feeling judged by an algorithm, take a deep breath. Your credit score is not a reflection of your worth, and it is a lot easier to fix than you think once you know how the system actually works.

Why Bad Credit is So Expensive

Having a low credit score is incredibly expensive. The financial system actually penalizes you for having a low score by charging you more for almost everything.
    • The Bad Score Penalty: A low score affects more than just bank loans. Landlords use credit checks to reject apartment applications, cell phone providers charge higher upfront deposits, and car dealerships tack on extra lot fees just to talk to you.

    • Kissing Cash Goodbye: Think about watching thousands of your hard-earned dollars vanish into thin air. That is exactly what happens with high interest rates.
A person with a 620 credit score will easily pay $100,000 more for the exact same house than someone with a 760 score, purely due to interest.

    • The Good News: Your current score is not a permanent life sentence. It is just a temporary snapshot of your past financial habits. The credit bureaus recalculate your score constantly, meaning you can start changing their minds today.

Decoding the Credit Score Game Matrix

Think of your credit score like a game matrix. To win, you just have to give the computer algorithm exactly what it wants to see.
    • Plastic Rules: The biggest misconception is that you need to carry a balance and pay interest to build credit. That is a myth.
The ultimate hack is to use your credit card like a debit card—only spend money you actually have in your checking account, and pay the statement balance to zero every single month.

    • The 30% Red Line: Your “credit utilization” is how much debt you owe compared to your total limit. If you have a card with a $1,000 limit and you spend $900 of it, the credit bureaus panic—even if you pay the full bill on time.
Try to keep your balances below 30% ($300 in this case) at all times to keep the algorithm happy.

    • Time is Your Friend: You cannot buy a perfect credit score overnight, and you do not need to be rich to have one. The system rewards consistency over wealth.
A person making minimum wage who pays a small bill on time for five years will have a better score than a millionaire who misses payments.

The Real Reasons Most People’s Scores Take a Hit

Most people do not ruin their credit on purpose. Usually, scores drop because of hidden traps built into the banking system.
    • The Mystery Drop: Have you ever finally paid off a car loan or student debt, only to see your score immediately plummet? It feels incredibly discouraging. This happens because closing an account reduces your total credit mix and lowers the average age of your active accounts. It is a frustrating quirk of the system, but the drop is usually temporary.

    • Late Payment Dominoes: Life gets busy, and it is easy to forget a small bill. However, letting a single payment drag past the 30-day mark can tank a perfect score by 100 points overnight. The system treats a forgotten $15 streaming bill the exact same way it treats a missed mortgage payment.

    • The “Credit Invisible” Problem: Many people think, “I just won’t use credit cards, and then I won’t have debt!” While avoiding debt is great, avoiding credit entirely makes you “credit invisible.”
When it comes time to buy a house, banks will treat a blank credit history exactly like a bad credit history because they have no data to judge you by.

Quick Wins to Boost Your Points This Week

You do not have to wait years to see progress. Here are a few immediate actions you can take to start bumping your numbers up right now.
    • Fix the Garbage: Go to AnnualCreditReport.com and pull your files for free. Look closely at the data. It is shockingly common to find incorrect addresses, misspelled names, or old debts that should have been removed. Disputing and deleting these errors can give your score an instant lift.

    • The Calendar Shift: If you constantly miss payments because your bills align poorly with your paydays, call your credit card company. Most lenders will happily let you change your monthly due date to match when your paychecks actually hit your bank account.

    • The Smart Spend Strategy: If you struggle with overspending, try this trick: put one small, recurring subscription (like Netflix) on your credit card.
Set the card to auto-pay the full balance from your checking account every month, then literally hide the physical plastic in a drawer or freeze it in a block of ice. Your score will build itself completely on autopilot.

Wrap Up: Time to Take Control
Mastering the credit game gives you total control over your financial future. You do not need to let a three-digit number dictate where you live, what you drive, or how much stress you carry. By making a few small, smart adjustments this week, you can stop fighting the system and make it start working for you.

Fall Projects In My Heart and Home

I Love Me Some Great Fall Projects No Matter How Big or Small

Fall Projects In My HomeHello Creative Ones,

I hope everyone is well.

Well it’s Saturday and I’m busy as a Betsy Bee. It’s that time of year when I get to work on my fall projects.

I’m going to be decorating my living room with all of my fall decor that I bought from Home Goods over the past three years. I don’t need to buy another thing but I was tempted when I was in home goods to buy prince a new bed. I was having a field day looking though. Autumn is calling my name! When I saw the wreaths and pillows my heart was aching but I told myself it didn’t make CENTS to buy another thing because my attic is running over with decorations. It’s like Walmart up there!

Ok. My first project for the fall season will be to wash my windows and then walls. Yessss. I wash windows and walls. As I thinking I guess I need to clean my rugs by hand. I will also clean and shine my exposed hardwoods. The other major project that I can cross off my list is purging. That was a major job, but it’s done and it feels amazing to have completed such a major task.

After all these projects are done I will paint my hallway bathroom. I also have plans to paint the accent wall in my mother’s room but that will be easy. My husband has been installing new doors throughout the house; he just needs to finish it.

By the time we have completed our projects it will be time to decorate for fall. I’ll share pictures.

Until next time I hope you’ll share your projects here.

Enjoy,

Cyndi

March Gladness Is Here To Stay

March Madness 2022 is here!

March Madness 2022 Is Here

March Madness is here and I am super excited that March Gladness is here. Yayyyyyy!!!!!!!!

There are some great match ups and amazing college players who are just waiting to compete in the March Gladness tournaments.

My family and I love basketball. We would watch it year round if we could. We also love football. When football season ends its on to March Gladness where we gt to see some great competition.

We follow Villanova since it’s close to our hometown.  The Wildcats have an awesome Coach in Jay Wright. He just always seems to win. As my son says he is just a great coach. I think one of the reasons that I enjoy watching Villanova play is because I get to watch Coach Wright walk up and down the sidelines. I love to see his reaction each and every time one of his players even comes close to or touches the round ball. For some reason, I just love to watch his display of concern and love of the game and for his players.

There will be plenty of games on this weekend and I am ready to sit back and watch all the action.

You can find the schedule on google for March Madness and all the excitement if you’re interested! And if you are, enjoy!!!

Let’s go Nova!

Starting Your Work At Home Journey Easily and Successfully

So let’s start like this; ask yourself, What is that one thing that I am deeply passionate about it. Now think to yourself how is starting my own home based business going to impact the lives of others. Do I want to be a coach or do I want to sell my own products. The questions are endless and the possibilities are infinite.

Ask yourself, if I am going to start my own business what would that look like?

Let me ask you this important question; what is the one special gift that you possess that makes you smile when you use it in your daily life in some small or major way?  Does using this special gift get you excited when you think about launching your home based business? Well if it does, then you have your answer. This is will be the one gift that you will use to birth your baby.

Okay. You’ve answered the most important you need to ask yourself to be sure you are headed toward the right path. That was easy wasn’t it?

When you start a business I believe deep within my heart that there are a few things that you must have that are essential to starting a successful business right out of the gate. Do you have any idea what that would be?

You see most people start out telling you about getting a host for your website. They often recommend Bluehost as do I, but that is not the most important component for your business.

How To Start Your Work From Home Business With Faith and Confidence

Having faith in God is vital if you are going to build your brand and your business.

You must believe that you can do this. Trusting God is important for your business. Your faith is going to take your business to higher levels every time you enter into your office, whether your office be your mind, your heart and your soul. Have faith is powerful. It is  transformational.

Confidence is the other element that you must have in order succeed and prosper in business.

Having your own business is an awesome way to help others to change their lives as well.

Now let’s get ready to think of a name for your business. Naming your business shouldn’t be difficult. Think of a name that represents your business well. You’ll want a name that is short and easy for your audience to remember. Also, be sure to use .com.

The goal is to let your customers know what your business is about.

And now you need a host. I use Bluehost. I really like them. I have been using them for 12 years. They have wonderful technical support should you ever need it.

Onward and upward to WordPress. I like WordPress. It is a great platform that you can use to create and design a professional looking website.

After you have installed WordPress you can create your first post. From there you will want to add photos to the pages of your website. If you will be selling products just make sure that you take professional photos of your products. Be sure to write engaging articles. Pull your customers into your space. Be authentic. Always be honest and speak from your heart.

I hope this will help you in starting your business. Make your business unique. Your business is your business and I want you to make it your own. It doesn’t matter if you are in a saturated market, you can still stand out from the crowd with your own powerful and one-of-a-kind marketing.

Here’s to your greatness and wellness.

Christmas Decor As Beautiful As Christmas

Christmas Decor As Beautiful As Christmas

Christmas decor as beautiful as Christmas is a huge part of my heart.

So this year, I decided that my theme for Christmas this year will be angels and reindeer. My color wheel will consist of gold, silver and red. I may add in a little purple. Whatever I choose you can best believe that it will be breathtakingly gorgeous. I am excited and cannot wait to start decorating.

The great day will be starting soon as soon as I inspect my inventory! I have a large selection of Christmas decorations, but I don’t think I am going to put everything out. I will add small touches a little at a time. I love to see it all come together and unfold right before my eyes.

Christmas Decor As Beautiful As Christmas And Christmas Is Magical!

This magical time of year is a wonderful time to share my creation with my family and few friends. My family truly appreciates my home decor. My sons smile when I put the finishing touches on my Christmas home decor.

I have a lovely collection of reindeer, mostly gold. My angels are simply beautiful. They have the look of peace and serenity and when I look at them they remind of how blessed we are.

Last year I went on the hunt for purple Christmas bulbs and I found them at Hobby Lobby. They were on sale so I grabbed five cylinders of them. I used them for my Christmas Decor As Beautiful As Christmas last year. I could not achieve the look that I was going for, but my family loved it. This year I will add a few touches of purple here and there.

I have a lot of gold Christmas decor so I will piece it altogether once I’ve gone through my Christmas inventory.

I am going to take pictures so that you can see how it all comes together.

Please come back to see how my home looks. When you see it I how it inspires you in some way.

Fall’s Entrance

Into My Heart and Home

Falls entrance

Good Day Everyone,

It’s Friday, September 21, 2018, and I am leaping for joy.  You see Fall is about to make her entrance into the door of my heart. The beautifully bright autumn season that we call Fall will be arriving around 7 tomorrow evening and I’ll be happily waiting. Although the decorating began September 1st I have a lot more decorating to do.

I had my husband go up in the attic to find the rest of my fall decor. Disappointed, he only found one storage bin. With all the unlabeled storage bins up there I can see why he couldn’t find them all. It’s just too many to go through. Even though he only found one storage bin, it did contain some of my most beautiful decor. It’s my guess that we will have to make our way back up to the attic again this evening. I hope I am able to find the rest of my fall decor.  There is so much of it, but I do remember everything that I have. My goal is to decorate my living and dining rooms from ceiling to floor.  In my storage bins there are wreaths along with a large variety of gorgeous pumpkins. They are a must have for the harvest in my home. Let me tell you, I was really on my p’s and q’s when I decided to leave a few things out around the house from last year. I knew fall would be here before I could bat an eye and here it is, once again, bringing her beautiful color palette to warm my home.

With so much to do to get ready for the harvest I am overjoyed!.  I am making a new to do list today to prepare for all the things I want to do this season. I already told my husband that I have a spectacular list of things for us to do together which includes Painting with a Twist, Pumpkin Pickin and a trip to Valley Forge for our second annual picnic. To say that I am thrilled would be an understatement. I also have plans for us to do some autumn baking together even though my husband doesn’t know it yet.

Planning for the Upcoming Holidays

I am now in the process of preparing for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas.

I’ve written out my Thanksgiving Day Menu and I’m working on my Christmas Menu.  My Thanksgiving Menu is never difficult to figure out, but every once in a while I like to add something new.  Here’s what my Thanksgiving Menu looks like.

I can smell pumpkin bread with chocolate chip morsels baking in my oven.

Harvest In My Heart

Harvest in my heart is where loves dwells.  It is the beauty of the season and warmth in my home.  Harvest in my heart is the season that says welcome into my heart.

For the Love of Fall

Fall invites us to embrace her warmth as she ushers in cooler temperatures.  She’s designed a beautiful color wheel of reds, browns and orange to enhance our home’s decor.
